These after work sessions are designed to give you the distilled version of each topic and nothing more. Each week we dive into the topic's essentials, for a session that is equal parts tutorial and practice. You can use them to refresh your existing knowledge or as an introduction to the key elements of each topic. Program topics are; rescue essentials, traditional gear placement check up, and efficient multi pitch systems. An initial group consult allows for program content to be tailored to the group's particular needs and skill set. I invite you to become a better and safer climber, to take your skills into the mountains on bigger and better objectives.

Do you know how to solve simple problems like a stuck rope on a multi-pitch climb? Simple skills learned can turn a difficult and dangerous situation into a simple annoyance.
Each month we start a new series of afterwork mini tutorials in Squamish. The sessions run from 5:30 - 9:30pm on the decided day. Schedule flexibility is one of the goals, and together and before each week the group decides on an afternoon that suits everyone. One of the group members is required to arrive early each week to help me set up the practice location.

Just like other areas of our lives, we can mitigate the spread of the virus with the use of masks.
Masks are required when we are in close proximity for example an instruction situation or at a multi pitch station. Because we are not in a confined space and we have the benefit of fresh air and the great outdoors we can remove our masks once the 2m proximity rule has been passed. This means climbing without a mask although having it in close for when doing partner checks, for example, or any other close proximity situations occurs. Please see our extensive COVID risk management plan on the About page, in the main menu.
